This is Why Audit Rocks! 🎸 | The First Audit Hackathon by Auditstage

Audit is a fantastic profession, but how do you convey that to the new generation?

At Auditstage, we believe in one clear mission: "To make audit great again."

To turn those words into action, we organized the very first Audit Hackathon last week at the beautiful Faculty Club in Leuven, in close collaboration with the BOBR-CBCR (Belgian Federarion of the Mid-tier Audit Firms)

More than just popularity. Our goal isn't just to make the sector popular. We want to show the next generation that audit is dynamic, high-energy, and simply rocks.

To demonstrate this, almost 80 audit professionals—fresh at the start of their careers—were challenged in a realistic Audit Simulation Game. Where university often stops at theory, we are just getting started. The participants had to:

• Conduct a full business analysis;

• Calculate materiality;

• Making difficult trade-offs and decisions to conduct a qualitative audit within budget.

The latter was especially eye-opening: audit is not just about numbers, it is about people and energy. The interaction with the actors made the experience—as you can see in the aftermovie below—incredibly lifelike.
